NTOU Delegation Visit Vietnam to Expand International Cooperation with Industries and Institutes

      From April 17 to April 21, the NTOU Vice President, Cheng-Yu Ku(顧承宇), led a delegation to Vietnam for a visit. During the visit, the delegation discussed issues such as teaching and academic research with various institutions. NTOU successfully deepened academic cooperation between the two countries, promoted international talent exchange, and expanded industry-academic cooperation.

NTOU & Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UT-HCMC)

      During the visit, the NTOU delegation had discussions with Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UT-HCMC), and IGC (Institute of Global Citizenship) Education Group on various fields such as talent training, academic research, departmental cooperation, and industry-academia collaboration. Through the event at Can Tho University, 12 outstanding students won offers from the NTOU, which fully demonstrated the commitment and determination to international talents cultivation of NTOU.

      In addition to visiting academic institutions, NTOU delegation also held a meeting in Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Ho Chi Minh City. Director Kuo-Yao Han(韓國耀), and Section Chief He-Xian Chen(陳和賢) from the TECO in Ho Chi Minh City warmly welcomed the NTOU delegation. TECO shared practical experiences and looked forward to promoting academic cooperation between Taiwan and Vietnam.

NTOU fully demonstrated the commitment and determination to cultivate international talents.

      The NTOU delegation also met Mr. Andrew Chen(陳皎麟), the Country Manager of the Dimerco Vietfracht (JV) Co.,LTD, and Wen-Chu Hsien, the CEO of the Chen-Yung Memorial Foundation to deepen international industry-academic cooperation. To strengthen the bond between the university and alumni, the NTOU delegation joined the evening banquet to celebrate the grand establishment of Alumni Association of Vietnam. In the ceremony, Mr. Andrew Chen was elected as the first president. Alumni Association of Vietnam will become a powerful platform for alums to support each other and bring positive impact of NTOU worldwide.
