NTOU & Kochi University Sign MOU to Collaborate on Fulfilling Social Responsibility

NTOU and Kochi University signed a MOU

      NTOU and Kochi University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Dec. 6th. The MOU was expected to facilitate data, researchers, and student exchange.

      NTOU keeps a stable international partnership with members of Taiwan-Japan Alliance of Local Revitalization and Social Practice (abbr. TJ Alliance, 臺日大學地方連結與社會實踐聯盟/臺日聯盟.) In the winter of 2022, the President of NTOU Tai-Wen Hsu (許泰文) visited TJ Alliance members including Kochi University, Ryukoku University, Shinshu University, and Chiba University under the project of Ministry of Education Center for University Social Responsibility(教育部大學社會責任推動中心.)

NTOU and Kochi University signed a Memorandum of Understanding

      Among TJ Alliance members, Kochi University wins the reputation as a “Super Regional University” through the system of regional research collaboration. NTOU is looking forward to strengthening cooperation with Kochi University by exchanging research experience in regional revitalization and marine science. “Since Kochi University shares similar surroundings and vision, NTOU was delighted to approach SDGs goals and to fulfill social responsibility under the cooperation through MOU,” stated President Tai-Wen Hsu.

      After MOU signing ceremony, NTOU and Kochi University held a kick-off seminar of collaborative educational and research activities. Director of NTOU Institute of Marine Environment and Ecology Shinya Shikina(識名信也) shared the results of his research in the seminar.
