National Taiwan Ocean University and Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co. Ltd. held the NX Taiwan International Logistics Scholarship Award Ceremony on June 13^th, 2023. The event aimed to recognize talented individuals who combine academic knowledge with practical skills and contribute their research projects or papers to the field of international logistics, particularly in terms of trends and the application of new technologies. Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co. Ltd. provides scholarships to students from the College of Maritime Science and Management, assisting them financially and enabling them to pursue practical research to contribute to the development of the international logistics field and society.

Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary established in Taiwan by NIPPON EXPRESS (NX Group), the largest logistics group in Japan, is the first company in Taiwan to hold Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification in four industry categories: "freight forwarding (ocean and air transport)," "customs brokerage," "warehousing," and "road transportation." They provide professional transportation and distribution services. Since 2017, they have signed a memorandum of understanding for industry-academia cooperation with National Taiwan Ocean University, establishing a platform for mutual assistance and benefits between industry and academia, promoting industry exchanges, fostering talent in the logistics industry, and enhancing the quality and international competitiveness of logistics business.

Since 2018, Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co. Ltd. has been offering the "Talent Cultivation Scholarship" for outstanding and economically disadvantaged undergraduate students in the College of Maritime Science. They also provide the "Logistics Independent Study Project Scholarship", encouraging excellent students to engage in logistics-related research projects to cultivate talent in international logistics. Each scholarship offers three spots. In the current year, two students from the Department of Transportation and one student from the Department of Tourism received the "Talent Cultivation Scholarship". The recipients of the "Logistics Independent Study Project" are all students in the Master's program of the Department of Aviation and Maritime Transportation Management.

President Tai-Wen Hsu expressed his sincere gratitude to President Masaru Kawamoto of Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co. Ltd. for their attention to National Taiwan Ocean University. The establishment of the Talent Cultivation Scholarship and the Logistics Independent Study Project Scholarship aims not only to cultivate professional talent in logistics but also to encourage students to explore the landscape of the logistics industry through research projects. President Hsu also encouraged the scholarship recipients to make good use of the scholarships and take the lead when entering the industry. President Masaru Kawamoto expressed his happiness to return to National Taiwan Ocean University after three years. With the introduction of the brand image "NX," they hope to cultivate talent in the logistics industry and make Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co. Ltd. a company with a significant influence in the global market. He also looks forward to the scholarship recipients continuously expanding their horizons and making contributions to society together with Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co. Ltd.

「NX台湾国際物流」は2018年度から、海大の海運学院の学生に対し、「人材育成助学金」と「物流に関する自由研究奨学金」を提供しています。この奨学金は、学術と実務を結びつけ、研究課題や論文をまとめ、国際物流のトレンドや新技術の活用に対する視点を提案することを目的としています。NX台湾国際物流は、海大海運管理学部の学生に対して奨学金を提供し、学生が経済の心配をせず、専門研究を通じて実務上の問題を解決し、国際物流の領域で成長し、学んだことを社会に貢献するよう支援しています。

NX台湾国際物流は台湾で初めて「請負事業（海・空）」、「通関業」、「倉庫業」、「陸上輸送業」の4業種のAEO認定事業者が、プロフェッショナルな輸送・物流サービスを提供します。2017年から海洋大学と産学協力了解覚書（MOU）を締結し、産業と学術の相互支援プラットフォームを構築し、産業交流を促進し、関連産業の発展力を高め、物流業界の人材育成と業務品質の向上、国際競争力の強化を目指しています。

許泰文学長は、NX台湾国際物流の川本勝社長が台湾海洋大学を重視していることに大変感謝しており、人材育成・物流テーマ別奨学金の設立により、物流の専門人材を共同で育成するだけでなく、学生をリードするための特別研究も奨励します。物流業界を深く探求します。。許学長は、受賞した学生が奨学金を活用し、業界に進出する際に先行していくことを期待しています。川本勝社長は、3年ぶりに台湾海洋大学を訪れたことに喜びを表しており、ブランドイメージである「NX」を導入することにより、物流人材育成を通じてNX台湾国際物流を「グローバル市場で強力な影響力を持つ企業」とすることを期待しており、学生たちはNX台湾とともに視野を広げ、社会に貢献し続けます。
